This assignment had two parts. First we did a TQE Chart (Takeaways, Questions, Epiphanies). The other was making a presentation about Carthage. We were assigned to watch a video called The Age of Carthage from the History Channel. First we were told to fill in our TQE Charts on our own. After, we collaborated on a group presentation. I was put into a group of four.
The TQE Chart was quite simple. All I had to do was take notes based off the video we had to watch. Ask questions and write down previous knowledge I had on the topic. This was a new topic to me therefore I didn't have much prior knowledge on it. As you can see in the image and document I took a lot of notes. It helped with the presentation we had to make as a group. As for the presentation, we divided our work. We all used our notes and I would say the presentation was pretty successful. Since I had a lot of notes, I was assigned to jot down the main points of Carthage and what happened. I was very happy with this group because we all did our work as promised. For improvement I feel like we could have gone through the presentation slower. From what I remember we rushed presenting to the class. 21st Century Skills used for this assignment: Information Skills Students will apply relevant computer and handheld technology across the curriculum, and they will integrate new technologies. Students will also read and understand a wide range of literary and informational text for a variety of purposes, and they will apply a variety of appropriate research methods across the curriculum. Communication Skills Students will be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences for different purposes, using oral, written, and nonverbal communication. For this entire assignment I used Information and Communication skills. I used information skills by taking information from the video and using it towards the assignment. With the information I was able to take in I was able to make an excellent TQE Chart and presentation with my group. For communication skills I used it by communicating with my group to have a better understanding of how to work efficiently. I also used it when presenting the powerpoint to the class over one of our Zoom classes.
