Name of Assignment: Dance Project
Subject: Algebra II Facilitator/Teacher: Ms. S In this project we were supposed to make dance movements out of the functions we came up with. We had a choice to do this project with a partner; my partner was my friend Analeise Dilley. As a team, we came up with some functions together and found a song we thought would go well with the dance movements. I am most proud that we were able to make the video clips into a whole video. We both were not very good with video editing so when we finished the video we were proud even if it wasn't the best. I can tell that this project helped me improve on my communication skills because of how smoothly our project went. I feel that we both knew and understood what we were doing and we had planned it out. For thinking & problem solving we had to come up with functions that would be easy to make into a dance. This part was a bit of a struggle at first because it took awhile to find functions that were simple and not too complicated to make into a dance. I would say that the most complicated part about this task was editing. It took us hours to edit a short video because we had to teach ourselves to put clips together and put music in the background. I think that we could have started on the project earlier , but we never got a chance. I think that I could have done some research or watched some videos on how to edit, but the video turned out well. This project just showed that we had a better understanding of functions. I think this project even may have understood it even more. I think that the video editing could help in future projects. |
