The Unit 1 Test was quite easy for me. I really understood the material. There were ten problems on this test and I got one wrong. I was very proud of myself because I have always had trouble in Math in the past. Math is definitely not my strongest subject. Overall I think that this is very big improvement for me and I hope to continue getting good grades on my tests and quizzes.
For the Unit 2 Quiz #1 I was actually shocked when again, I only got one wrong. I was shocked by this because I was not as confident as when I took the Unit 1 test. I think I was struggling more on this part but I started to understand more towards the end. I am very happy with these results. Thanks to my wonderful teacher, I think I am starting to become more confident with Math! 21st Century Skills used for the test and quiz:
Thinking and Problem Solving: Students will demonstrate thinking and problem solving in all curricular areas through projects, application of the scientific method, higher order math skills, and literary analysis. Self-Directional Skills: Students will demonstrate their ability to understand and monitor their own learning needs and to goal-set. They will complete a portfolio and present it as part of their exit interview with a graduation committee. Students will also demonstrate career readiness, and will connect to the world of work through career explorations and internships. For the test and quiz I mainly used Thinking and Problem Solving and Self-Directional Skills. I used these by solving the problems and using my memory of how to solve them. With self-direction and thinking of how to answer these questions I was able to get very high grades on both. This was a huge success for me! I now have more confidence in myself and I believe that I will do great on the next quiz or test coming up.
